An Organised You
United Kingdom

Hello, I am Amanda and I am a longstanding (5+ year) member of APDO and I work with clients to downsize and declutter their homes and lives to help them feel organised now but also to help them avoid leaving overwhelm to their loved ones.

I have a friendly approachable style and would welcome an opportunity to help you through any overwhelm you feel to make your home feel better for you, maybe for the life you are currently living or in preparation for a life change you are seeking, a move or after an event in your life.

As well as an APDO member, I am a Member of the Association for Coaching, a longstanding member of the Institute of Challenging Disorganisation and a member of the Academy of Virtual Organisers. I am also a partner of the Senior Move Partnership.

I am a Level II Chronic Disorganization Specialist® and also hold certificates from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD) in

I work face to face or virtually with clients of all ages with their downsizing, decluttering and senior move management. Organising projects of mine include whole house declutter/organisation/simplifying, paperwork, clothes, kitchen, organising the 'keeps', productivity support as well as the whole Swedish Death Cleaning process which I really enjoy as I strongly believe that by being an organised you now will not only help your wellbeing but will ensure your loved ones only inherit the treasures you want them to have - not overwhelm.

Why work with me?

There are many reasons that you may choose to work with me:

• Perhaps you are looking for professional help with the Swedish Death Cleaning process because you don't want your loved ones to have to deal with overwhelm when they inherit your possessions.

• You inherited your loved ones' possessions and don't know where to start to review them?

• You have lost a loved one and need help as you move towards a new chapter of your life?

• It's now time to downsize your current home for new beginnings or even move from your current home?

• You or your family are feeling too busy with work and homelife to do it alone?

• You are feeling overwhelmed by the task at hand or you feel you have experienced a mental health challenge such as depression, anxiety, hoarding disorder, ADHD, OCD or you just feel you need some help with something in your life.

I have been helping people feel organised for many years and have experience with a variety of clients - retired people, professional entrepreneurs, medics and business executives, busy singletons, busy couples, busy parents as well as confidentially supporting clients who are experiencing mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, OCD or hoarding disorder at Level I or Level II or maybe with the organising and productivity challenges of ADHD.

Move Management

Partner of the Senior Move partnership helping people to downsize and project manage their move.

I came into this not being 100% sure that my project could be tackled in a way that I would like it and still get the results I wanted, but the service exceeded my expectations and I got the results I wanted in a caring, approachable way. Amanda worked hard, she was conscientious with attention to detail. My husband died 4 years ago and this is the best money I have spent since! I would highly recommend the services of An Organised You. Swedish Death Cleaning, professional female
This is a hard thing to do on your own, I did try, but it’s easy to feel defeated and give up... I can't do much physically now because of developing fibromyalgia, so Amanda's service has become invaluable. One of the projects we have done recently is review lots of paperwork of mine that had built up over many years as well as some paperwork that I had inherited from my late parents. After helping me to decide what to keep (and discarding lots!) Amanda collated the small amount we kept into an easy system for me so that my paperwork is now organised in one place and easier for me to manage. Whilst we were sorting, I discovered cards from the 1960s that my deceased parents had sent to each other that I didn't even know were in the house! That was emotional but I was so pleased to have found them. Recommended service. Decluttering & Swedish death cleaning Project
Amanda helped our elderly mother to downsize in preparation for a house move. As well as being extraordinarily efficient in all written communications, she was extremely empathetic in planning her sessions with our mother, working to a pace that she could manage. Amanda was able to facilitate decision making sympathetically and efficiently. Our mother has been struggling with memory and other symptoms of dementia for quite a while and Amanda navigated this with utmost professionalism, checking before her visits and prepared to expect anything on arrival!  She was also very helpful and thoughtful with respect to redistributing clothes and books and keeping us well informed. We are extremely grateful for Amanda's help and would not hesitate to recommend her. Downsizing Support in preparation for a move.
