I am based in the south west of England, between Bristol and Bath but also close to North Somerset and Mendip areas. I have worked with adults as a social worker and as a support worker for many years and so am used to people dealing with loss and changes in health. I am sensitive, non judgemental and would love to help you make your home an easier and more pleasant environment to live in. I also work for Hoarding Disorders UK.
I can help you sort through cupboards and/or rooms and help you to decide what you would like to keep or give away to charity or friends. I will not MAKE you throw anything away. We will be working together. I do not charge for our first meeting (up to an hour and does not need to be in your home) and there is absolutely no obligation to purchase my services. It has to be the right time for you and many people may need to think about it for a while after taking that initial step to find out what working with me will involve.
I am a qualified social worker and have worked to support adults through poor physical and mental health, ageing, bereavement and change for over ten years. I have completed a Hoarding Awareness for Professional Practitioners course with Jo Cooke, Cherry Rudge and Heather Matuozzo. I have completed a six week ADHD for Organisers Course with Sarah Bickers. I have also recently done some chronic disorganisation training led by Jo Cooke and Jo Cavalot. My son has ADHD so I have lived experience of this condition.
I work privately for individuals but have also had contracts with local authorities and housing associations. I am used to working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with district nurses, G.P's, social workers, environmental health and other agencies involved with the support of individuals.
I have helped several clients declutter prior to a house move.
