Hi I'm Jacqui, a newbie here to APDO but certainly not to the task of creating clutter free, organised and pleasing homes from chaos!
Formerly a registered nurse for adults with learning disabilities and autism and for many years a senior operational manager for services for vulnerable adults, my working background in care and housing services equipped me with the experience and skills to provide empathetic support to people undergoing major life changes including coping with hoarding and moving home.
Dovetailing neatly with this was my personal passion for interiors and my experience of 18 house moves of my own, upsizing and downsizing alongside family life and plenty of practical and emotional challenges. Alongside this I've completed multiple decluttering projects on behalf of family and friends and given practical help with preparing to move, unpacking and styling new homes. In every case I've derived huge rewards from creating manageable and stylish new homes from the aftermath which reflect the needs and personalities of everyone living in them.
I strongly believe in the importance of the role our home environment plays in our mental wellbeing which is why the Clear To Go motto is "Your home = your calm happy space".
Services available are:
Decluttering and home organising. One area, one room or the whole home.
Moving house - packing and unpacking. Practical advice and help with lots of well proven methods and tips for a hassle free move.
Home staging ready for sale / new tenancy.
Bereavement service - working with or on behalf of you to sort and empty the property of a loved one. Also useful if you're a bereaved partner and are struggling to decide what to do with their possessions, what to keep and what not to keep.
Blitz cleaning - a one-off after house move, end of tenancy or when you just don't have time to tackle the mountain of cleaning chores and want it to sparkle again.
I'm based near Bath and my working area extends around Bath, Bristol, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, South Wales and beyond. I'm an APDO member with full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance and am registered with the Information Commissioners Office to uphold data protection regulations responsibly (keeping your personal details safe).
