I’ve worked with a wide range of different people to help them to sort out their belongings and this often has a positive affect on their lives too. I work in a person-centered gentle way, with kindness and compassion.
I’ve worked with people to enable them to tackle some of their most difficult challenges and start to achieve their aspirations.
These have included dealing with a lifetime’s accumulation of belongings; adapting to physical health diagnosis/conditions; managing symptoms of neurodiversity, such as ADHD and Autism; and helping people following the death of or separation from a loved one.
I strive to provide a friendly, thoughtful presence, respecting people as individuals, while encouraging and trying to empower them to make changes and deal with challenges.
I’m based in Bishopston, close to central Bristol and cover most of Bristol by bicycle, which I use to do all my Gentle Sorting work on.

ADHD
I have completed extensive reading around ADHD as well as completing Sarah Bickers' ADHD for Organisers training course in December 2024. I've worked with many clients with ADHD and have helped them to develop coping strategies for themselves and the management of their homes. I was diagnosed with ADHD myself in October 2023 and this has helped and motivated me to learn more about how it affects my everyday life and that of others who I support. Alongside my organising work I work part-time in the University of Bristol library, helping students with various support needs, including ADHD.
"Katharine helped me to sort out various things, most notably my paperwork. She was kind and supportive and I never felt judged'
"Katharine provides a patient, kind and compassionate service. Gentle - but effective - she is able to motivate one to make changes without pushing too hard".
"I was impressed by Katherine's practical support for getting me started and her lack of judgement regarding my situation. If you need some help getting things sorted/organised or cleared, call her"
