Carefully Sorted is a London-based service which is dedicated to helping you organise and declutter your home, your office and paperwork, your possessions and your collections. I set up the business in 2016 and have worked with a huge range of clients around the UK - mostly face-to-face but I work virtually too, which worked very well during the pandemic.
I am non-judgemental and practical and will work at your pace so that the careful sorting we undertake together has lasting benefits. Carefully Sorted grew out of my experience of helping friends and family tidy and sort their homes and businesses. I was always the family 'fixer'. When I turned up at my mother's house she would always say, 'Thank goodness! Here comes the cavalry!'
I have first-hand experience of sorting out my parents' possessions when they died so I am particularly aware of the sensitivities that follow bereavement. I also understand why people collect things, because I do too. I collect family memorabilia, books and glass and my collections are hugely important to me; I know just how much emotion is wrapped into precious belongs.
My approach is not all about minimalism and throwing things away. I don't measure success by the number of black plastic bags going out of the door at the end of a session. I aim to help you create a pleasant and manageable environment which you enjoy living in and to find sustainable ways of disposing of the items you don't want anymore.
I enjoyed a long career spanning the voluntary sector, education and financial services and have highly-developed organisation, people and communication skills. What I do now through Carefully Sorted is a natural extension of my previous professional life. I am a very practical person and really enjoy working with clients to help them find lasting solutions.
