I'm a down-to-earth and friendly, middle aged mother of two based in West Yorkshire. I've been a professional declutterer, organiser and move manager for at least 5 years. I've worked with over 200 clients. Each have had their own individual needs - so I build up relationships and adapt my services to suit.
I've managed to successfully support so many clients by listening. I listen to what they want to achieve and understand what their obstacles are - be it physical, mental or emotional - which stop them achieving things independently. Many of my clients are neurodiverse.
I've had my own ups and downs so understand how ''stuff' can get complicated. My life has gone off kilter when I’ve had demanding jobs, new babies, illnesses, relationship break ups, sudden bereavement, demanding kids and elderly parents with dementia.
I’m in the process of doing my own personal Swedish Deathing Cleaning, which is a bit like getting your house in order, and means my children won’t have to process a mountain of things when I’m no longer about.
Having relocated my family from London to Yorkshire, and my dad from a 4-bedroomed house to a residential care home, I know how difficult it is to pack your whole life into boxes. I’ve combined the homes of two families into one small one house.I can help with any part of the moving process such as getting your house ready to sell, decluttering, floor planning, packing, unpacking, dealing with legal paperwork and managing the whole schedule.
Another area I enjoy working in is helping people organise their clothing. This ranges from cutting back to achieve a simple capsule collection to organising a vast walk-in wardrobe space. I’m honest in terms of what actually suits you and will discuss if it’s a wise option to hold on to things you just ‘might’ wear one day.
Whilst many shy away from paperwork I actually relish it. When my dad moved into residential care I consolidated 20 years of admin in box files which filled a study into to one A-Z folder - honestly, it can be done.
Are you spending a small fortune on a storage unit each month? Or do you need help to order the things you love like a craft supplies, your record collection, beloved books or neglected photos? Whatever area you need support with I will bring energy, encouragement, advice and support as well as practical and physical help.
Having worked as an interior's editor (at Sunday Times Style Magazine) I understand how spaces work and how to get the best out of them.
I will remove whatever you need me to. Ideally I take things to the charity shop of your choice or recycle. I also enjoy finding good homes for things like donating fabric to local schools, suitcases to refugees, fur coats to theatre companies and toiletries to a women’s refuge. But I'm also able to take things to the tip too.
My photo organising skills were recognised when I won an international competition for a photobook I made for a client.
Let me help you make space for the things which really matter. And I promise to make it a rewarding and stress free process.
I'm friendly, non-judgemental, confidential and I quite like spiders too!

Business/work productivity
Having worked as a national newspaper journalist with daily deadlines I'm used to working under pressure and figuring out what really matters. I've also now been self employed for at least 10 years so understand the ins and outs of running a business.
ADHD
Many of my clients are neurodiverse. I enjoy learning from them how they experience life, and encourage them to share their knowledge.
Move Management
I'm a trained and established partner of The Senior Move Partnership (seniormovepartnership.co.uk) who specialise in helping older people downsize into retirement communities.

We enlisted Sarah's help when we moved to a new house and she was amazing! She was kind, honest and supportive. She made the whole experience calm, quick and enjoyable.
When my life has got chaotic, so often my home has as well. She has appeared like a Fairy Godmother at significant times. She's helped me sort my personal belongings but also parts of my life.
