I created 'For the Love of Things' because I know that people benefit from help sorting through their belongings.
I've worked with museums, researching their collections and helping to curate exhibitions. I have completed a doctorate in Museum Anthropology and have cared for objects and museum records (working with archive material, filing systems and databases).
Over the years I've listened to people tell me personal stories about their belongings and all the memories that they trigger. I'm respectful, a good listener and a practical-minded person. I love to help organise and categorise overstuffed kitchen drawers, clothes cupboards that don't close any more, print photos and a zillion spare batteries!
My background working in museums means that I am well qualified for
• organising and
• classifying belongings.
I have received professional training and gained extensive expertise in sorting and caring for peoples' objects and collections.

Sophie made cleaning and sorting fun!! It was so helpful to have her there gently guiding and advising me as I went through my bathroom cabinets. The shelves look great and organized! (A, Kennington)
Sophie helped us with the house move/unpacking. In such a short time the result is amazing! I look forward to book again with her after our renovations are done. Thank you so much Sophie! (Ire Y)
Sophie came and helped me think about how to use the storage available, helped me with ideas for additional storage, and made our bookshelf usable again! I thoroughly recommend her. (S. Kennington)
